Our Story

We’re Brian and Casie Stiles, and together, we own and operate
Stiles Pumpkin Farm and Back Road Blossoms in Durand, Michigan!
Our passion in agriculture started at a young age, and it’s so humbling to see how our love of pumpkins and
flowers has grown
into the farm we have today!

We are a family operated farm that has been in the Stiles Family for over 100 years! We have have been in the farm market business since 2009.
We started with pumpkins, and over the years branched out into mums, squash, corn stalks, gourds and straw.
We also grow traditional field crops like corn and soybeans.

In 2019, we added a u-cut sunflower patch, and by 2020 we had about a half-acre of u-cut flowers. Now, we have about an acre of u-cut flowers and sunflowers added to our farm, that is all self-serve daily, from June through the first frost (usually in October).
We also have pre-picked tulips for sale each spring. We host different flower workshops on the farm, do an event called “Give-A-Teacher-A-Bouquet”, and we fulfill orders like pre-cut buckets
of flowers and pre-made
bouquets for pick-up.

We have about 70 acres of production between the flowers, fall products, and field crops, and we pride ourselves on growing everything ourselves, having a wide variety, and keeping
our prices reasonable.

In addition, we have been a MAEAP Verified farm since June of 2022, of which we are very proud of!
This is something we strive to do:
take care of our land, and the environment in all we do.

“Getting verified in the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) shows peers and neighbors the high level of commitment to agricultural stewardship and protecting the environment…The Farmstead category looks at activities performed on the entire farm with a focus on protecting surface and groundwater...The Cropping category focuses on field-based activities such as water use, soil conservation, and nutrient management. This category applies to all crops grown in Michigan. These include field crops, vegetables, fruit orchards, greenhouse crops, and ornamental trees.”

We look forward to you coming
out to our farm!
Thank you for the support of our
family business!
